Homeowner Appreciation

Our picnic went well. We thought that 1/3 of the households represented was too small, but our friends have told us they think it was a great turnout for a first attempt.

As expected, we had WAY too much food, but the people who attended really liked going home with chicken and salad as leftovers! I actually gave one little boy almost 1/2 gallon of dill pickles since he had eaten most of the ones on the table by himself!

We rented a big tent from a local company, to protect us from the sun or the rain, whichever. As it turned out, we did not have either! It was very overcast since it was SUPPOSED to rain, but the event was held in good weather.

We were very surprised to learn that some long-time homeowners had no idea that we had such a great ballfield. They had never walked over there! We were asked if they could hold parties there as well, which of course they can. One woman is having a college graduation party for her daughter next week and is now going to hold it there instead of on her front lawn.

Some people asked us when we were going to have another party (not scheduled) and many could not fathom that this was for them and not to celebrate a birthday. Several of them asked if it was my birthday or our anniversary.

All in all, it ended up being a good day.

Re: Homeowner Appreciation
Hello. Have these picnics worked to keep tenants? I've considered having one once a month to keep tenants at my 10 unit park. What do you think of this? I wouldn't spend more than $100 and my cashflow is high currently. Also can you direct me where I can buy mobile homes in TN?
