MHM

When we left MHM we headed to our house in the Keys. Orlando is more than halfway there, and it had been months since we'd been home. But now, we're back at the helm.

We enjoyed meeting everyone at MHM. It was great to meet some of the folks who have been following the progress of Madison Woods. The experience was tremendously enriching and we with left with many good ideas. Three areas in particular stand out:

1. The speakers. Think superlatives. Each speaker was outstanding. They had several things in common. They were successful, they had a wealth of knowledge and experience, and most importantly, they were willing to openly share their knowledge with us.
2. The attendees. There were park owners, Lonnie Dealers, and investors, from all over the country. The ambiance of this large group was that of a small group of friends who were approachable and willing to help solve each others problems. The networking alone was worth the price of admission.
3. The forums. Is there anywhere else in this world that you can get a group of experts to sit down and talk with you until the wee hours of the morning, answering any questions you can conceive about this industry? If you had a problem and left without someone helping you find a solution, then you didn’t ask.

One area that we don’t think will be matched at next years MHMs is the entertainment. We don’t think there’s anyone else in the manufactured home industry that will be able to match Jim Clayton’s musical ability. At least until Garth Brooks gets into the biz...

Hats off to Steve, Corey and their support staff, for making MHM IV such awesome event. We’re looking forward to MHM V.
