Educate yourself ! ! !

I think it’s important to take a moment to talk about the subject of education, for those of you who are new to this website or were not aware of it, this past weekend Greg Meade held the 5th MOM meeting (Meeting of the Minds) in Albany GA. Greg holds these meetings as a way to give back, anyone who knows Greg, knows he has been very successful in the mobile home business and very giving of both his time and knowledge.

I know, as do many of you, there are a number of ways to become educated on a subject and gain experience. I have had an interest in real estate related investments almost all my life, during most of it I was lured into seminars where I was duped into thinking I could learn all I needed to know only to find it was just a teaser so the promoter could try to sell you a course for several thousand dollars.

Ever since being introduced to the mobile home business, Lonnie Scruggs being my first encounter, I have been extremely surprised at the willingness of people to share information and time. During the two days, in Albany, GA there was a wealth of information and networking going on, you see these people are the real deal, they don’t hold anything back, they share their time, knowledge, and experience to benefit you, they are already successful, and the best part is the MOM meeting was free.

So you ask, why are they here, they are here because they have become successful and want to give back, they love teaching, they know that through sharing ideas we all learn, they love seeing the excitement when a newbie realizes the opportunities this business holds, they understand there are plenty of opportunities for anyone who is interested, and they are out there doing deals every day, not just teaching it. These meetings are an opportunity to learn in an environment where people truly share their knowledge and experience openly and freely. If I’ve heard it said once, I’ve heard it a hundred times or more, from people like Steve, Corey, Greg, Karl, Lonnie and Ernest, they learn as much at these events as you and I do. There are a number of materials and seminars, available from Lonnie, Ernest Tew, Steve Case, Corey Donaldson, Karl Warner and many others. I have found the materials and seminars are worth far more than what you pay for them. For those of you that have not attended a MOM meeting or a Mobile Home Millions Conference, you really don’t know what your missing. The networking and sharing of knowledge is priceless to your investing career, my thanks to all those who have shared and continue to share with me in this great business every week.It doesn't get much better than this, believe me. By the way if this website had existed 10 years ago I would be light years ahead of where I am today, not that it matters, it’s the journey not the destination that matters. My message is to get your investment education from people who care and share.
