Sometimes the solution is right in front of us ....
I needed a storage shed very badly, we were starting to work on several rehab projects, mobile homes in the park that we had purchased from finance company’s. The problem was we would be ordering skirting material, vinyl siding material, replacement doors and numerous other items we needed to complete the work, and we didn’t have a place to store it. It was pretty obvious we needed to buy a storage shed, but as I started to price good quality storage sheds I just couldn’t believe how expensive they were. During the turn around phase, every time you turn around there is some other expense facing you, between clean up, landscaping, materials, rehab jobs, and numerous other things, the list just goes on and on. So one day , while contemplating what to do with some of these old abandoned homes, I thought why not use one of them as a storage shed, the only expense I would have is to gut it out, paint it and skirt it. So that’s what we did, it has worked out to be a very good, low cost alternative to buying a new storage shed. This one little idea probably saved us over $2000.00 dollars for the size shed we would have had to purchase. Worked for me !!
