A rehab success story ....

One of the homes we rehabbed was a home some people would have walked away from. A 28 X 64 doublewide 4 bedroom, 2 bath with a fireplace, the home was in very rough shape, both inside and out. I purchased this home for $5,500.00, we put another $13,500.00 in it for a total of $19,000.00 in labor and materials. This home was in the park so there were no moving or set up expenses. I’m sure we spent almost as many labor dollars as we did expenses on materials to bring this home to completion.

In the end the numbers worked out as follows, we sold the home for $44,000.00 with a $3,500.00 dollar down payment. We receive $175.00 a month lot rent and $395.00 a month for the payment on the home and the buyer absolutely loves her home. This same lady that bought the home had moved out of the park some years back when the park started going downhill, but when she noticed the improvements we were making she returned to buy this home we rehabbed. Another huge benefit is that two of her relatives have also bought homes because of how much she has praised the improvements we have made in the community, talk about the benefits of word of mouth advertising. This is just one example of the combined results we had from a rehab job well done by our very skilled rehab man, Rick Walls and the improvements and clean up to the mobile home park.
